All Herding Breed Dog Rescue of Illinois was founded by Lois Carberry an experienced horse trainer. Lois works with all kinds of animals in all shapes, sizes, coats, and feathers. She owns Australian Cattle Dogs. Lois has been rescuing herding breed dogs for years. Her knowledge, experience and vast network make her an asset to any rescue organization, why not her own. Lois is fantastic at matching dogs to their people. She enlisted the help of a few friends and family.
Katrina Knafl, insurance mogul and lover of Border Collies has plenty of experience working for different rescues in the past but wanted to do more. Katrina loves those Border Collie fosters and has a hard time letting them go. They get a lot of love at Tina’s house.
Carol Yohanan is a Caterer and Catering Consultant who thought at one time about getting a second dog. A dog trainer and friend of hers suggested fostering a dog to see how her ACD would handle another dog in the house. Carol’s dog Rya loved the ‘job’ and has been instrumental in the fostering process for many years.
Robin Carberry is the proud handler of the #1 ACD in N.A.D.A.C. agility 3 years running in both North America and Canada. She also handles a very successful Border Collie. Robin
is a well-respected agility trainer of all breeds. She is an accredited N.A.D.A.C. judge.
(N.A.D.A.C. stands for North American Agility Councils) Robin has a keen eye for talent and temperament and is an integral part of the team.
We have many fabulous volunteers that help us out on a daily basis with everything from fostering to managing social media and some that come and help us walk and care for the dogs or work adoption events.
